  • The Drivers Education course is 36 hours total: 30 classroom hours and 6 road hours.

  • You must be at least 15 years or older to take the classroom course. There is a brief parent orientation during the first course for students who are under the age of 18 years of age taking the course in person. Those without a valid Learner's Permit can take the classroom portion without it, but will need a valid permit to do any on the road training.

  • Classroom hours are two weeks long (in person) or (online) Monday-Friday.  Special hours may be scheduled around Holidays or in the event of inclement weather. Students have a 15 minute grace period when running late for class (in person) or (online).

  • The first day of class is mandatory. If a student misses the first day of class, they will not be able to attend classes in that particular session. Any other classes are required to be made up if missed but the number of missed days cannot exceed 3.

  • Successful completion of the course is a Maryland state requirement.

  • Please note the minimum number of students for in person classes is 5.  If the class in which you are enrolled has not reached the minimum number of students, you will be asked to enroll in a different class or offered a refund.
